A Well-groomed Watering Hole
The Groes Inn’s well-groomed bar is a relaxed affair, popular with locals and guests alike. As well as a changing roster of regional beers, you’ll find our own Dragon’s Fire special blend of ale on tap alongside a tempting selection of fine wines and classic tipples.
The first licensed house in Wales (1573) the bar is everything you’d like from a traditional Welsh watering hole: rustic and cosy in equal measures with a roaring fire and hearty menu. There are also tables outside for sun-blessed days. It’s a place where “old world” charm and character and modern attention to come together in a rather handsome way.
The bar plays host to pubby lunches and informal dining – the perfect solution for post-hike hunger! Please note that we used to close the Inn on Sundays and Mondays but, due to popular demand, we are now OPEN ALL WEEK!
Well-behaved hounds are welcome in some parts of the bar and in the gardens. More about dining in the bar…
