It’s been a very busy 2017/18, and just how busy we’ve been has left the Groes Inn in need of a little bit of TLC before 2018 is set to truly begin. As result of this, we’re closing the Groes Inn’s restaurant, bar, and hotel from the 5th of February 2018 until April 2018 when the works are projected to finish.
We are going to make improvements to the kitchens at the Groes – allowing for even better restaurant service. (As well as giving Chef free reign to try out quite a few additions to the menu he’s always wanted to!)
Please be assured that the refurbishments will absolutely not affect the character of the Groes Inn at all – the improvements are to be strictly limited to the Bedrooms and also the kitchens.
While indeed the bar area will certainly go through spring cleaning, we’re not planning on changing a thing that would impact the character of the building, inside or out.
We love our country-cosy traditional inn far too much to see any of its unique style taken away – we’re well aware that the Groes Inn is one of a kind and we have no intention of taking this for granted – so please don’t worry about that!
We would like to thank each and every one of our guests who made 2017 such a special year for us – whether you’re a returning guest or whether you first discovered the Groes in 2017, It’s because of your patronage throughout 2017 that we have the opportunity to close and make improvements to the Inn rather than making do with facilities which aren’t the very best we can give our guests.
Customer service is at the heart of everything we do at the Groes, and we hope to see you very soon, so we can show off the new and improved hotel and kitchens at the Groes Inn.
