Christmas is coming, or so we’re reminded. It feels like Christmas has come unbelievably quickly this year – as soon as Halloween is out of the way, it seems that everything’s skipped right to Christmas!
You may consider Christmas quite double edged – There’s (of course!) the excitement of spending some very well deserved time off work and investing it in friends and family, as well as the idea of partaking in Christmas merriment (and of course a festive tipple or two) but of course with how hectic the season is – with the amount of effort required to untangle the Christmas lights, the arduous shopping required for food and presents, sorting out travel arrangements for all of the family, and so very many other things taking a toll on you, Christmas can be just as – if not more- stressful than the day-to-day. You might dread Christmas just as much as you anticipate it.
At the Groes Inn, we’ve got just the ticket for anyone feeling a bit overwhelmed at the onset of the festive season – our winter breaks can provide everything you need to relax and unwind, and then take on the winter blues and go into Christmas smiling and prepared.
We’re all too happy to spoil you rotten at the Groes Inn – our assortment of Deluxe, Balcony and Classic Rooms are charming and kitted out with absolutely everything that we believe is conductive to an excellent nights sleep – gigantic, fluffy beds, individual design, as well as flatscreen TVs, bottled water, and ultra-high end Temple Spa toiletries for your enjoyment. Remember, book directly with us for three nights or more and get 10% off!
On Monday the 27th of November, we’re kicking off our Festive Fayre at the Groes Inn, which is a super special celebration of good food, and guaranteed to get you into the Christmas Spirit. Our Festive Fayre Menu offers a unique twist on Christmas food, and we’re sure that our menu will provide food for thought for your Christmas Lunch!
Any and all who enjoy the Festive Fayre Menu will be delighted to know that our gift to you this year is the gift that keeps on giving – we’re delighted to offer our special gift card, which halves your food bill for food ordered from the 2nd of January to the 9th of February 2018.
We’ve received quite a few enquiries regarding our Christmas opening hours, and they are as follows.
It’s business as usual all the way through December, and on Christmas Eve, we’re serving lunch until 9pm, and closing the bar at 11pm. On Christmas Day, we’re serving lunch until 4:30pm, and keeping the bar open until 7:30pm. On Boxing Day, we’re serving lunch until 4:30pm, and keeping the bar open until 7:30.
How are we looking for the New Year? On New Year’s Eve, we’ll be serving lunch until 3:00pm, and keeping the bar open all day, and on New Years’ Day, we’re not serving food, but we’re keeping the bar open until 10pm – providing the perfect opportunity for you to enjoy a laid back and relaxing drink at the Groes to welcome in the New Year.
