Historic Conwy Pub & Hotel

Beautiful inn just outside Conwy within easy reach of Anglesey and Snowdonia. Ample parking . We had booked a signature terrace room on the ground floor with spectacular views across open countryside. Our arrival in glorious sunshine started with an unexpected opportunity to fully enjoy the outside terrace . The room was spotless, spacious, well appointed and the beds were very comfortable. Housekeeping standard was very high and the whole property is well maintained. We had breakfast and dinner on both days of our stay . Varied menu selection at reasonable prices. Although service was excellent , the food was reasonable rather than exceptional. We would definitely stay here again. All the staff were friendly and efficient throughout our stay.

Had an evening meal here, and would definitely go again. I like to give constructive feedback so here goes, the chicken burger is amazing according to my son (autistic burger fan, so knows his burgers) and the brownie was good apparently. The lamb shank, was a little disappointing, had no lamb flavour at all and was somewhat stale on flavour, maybe it was near its sell by date? The chicken Milanese was nice but there just wasn’t enough of the gnocchi, it should have had pasta but they were out so gnocchi was accepted as an alternative. She felt it needed about another 10 pieces rather than the 20 as in the photo. The rest of the meal was great, we both had spotted dick, it was really good but really needed more custard, perhaps half way up or 3/4 up the small bowl they are served in would be better. The beer was spot on, all tasted fresh (the ales). Really nice ambience and I think the price is about right. I’d definitely go again

Didn’t stay here as a guest, but had an amazing Sunday lunch.
The Sunday sharer was brilliant, the atmosphere and building were both amazing.
The staff were very attentive and very welcoming.
This is a wonderful place to visit.

Fantastic Sunday roast today at the Groes Inn. We got the Sunday Roast Sharer for 2. Absolute value for money, the 3 meats cooked to absolute perfection, honestly I’ve never toasted beef so soft and the Gammon was so juicy, the turkey was melt in your mouth and the vegetables were seasoned perfectly. The roasts cooked beautifully crunchy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. Overall 5 stars doesn’t cut it for us absolutely divine

My first visit to the Groes Inn. I will be back! The setting is beautiful, the bar and restaurant area are lovely, and the exceptional staff set the tone for what was a lovely welcome and time we had. Highly recommend a visit! 5 star.

Outstanding mountain views! Beautiful surroundings. Peaceful. Historic pub stay. Great staff…always happy and helpful. Near to Conwy town centre. My first choice of stay, whenever we go to Conwy.

Such a lovely place. The room was spacious, and the bed was comfy. We were lucky enough to book a room with a terrace. The views were fabulous and great to sit outside early evening before heading over to the restaurant for food. The food was delicious, staff were so friendly and helpful. Very dog friendly too. Thank you all, we really enjoyed our stay.

For a pub hotel this is lovely with fantastic views. We gad our own little courtyard to sit in and look at the beautiful countryside. Good size room with comfortable beds. We had an evening meal in their restaurant and I would say overall it was very good at a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend The Groes Inn.
